So in thought today, I came to some points and ideas that are interesting to me, so for all those mothers, aunts, moms, sisters, grandmas, and friends, let me know what you think!!
1. In Biblical times, when women were on their period, they were considered unclean, and were made to sit in isolated tents with other women who were on the rag (phrasing when women used rags for pads). My thought is that God did this so that somen could get a week of rest, not just the seventh day. Could we have been predesigned with a week break from family life built in?
2. In the same time frame, when offerings were made on the altars, the blood came down and the meats wouls be set afire for God to smell the odors. What if women’s periods are a parallel to sacrificing, but sacrificing of self for God’s will (ie: baring children, populating the world) with our children being as the meat on the altar because He sees His children as good?
3. In the beginning it was man and female, as well as in the animal world. During nomadic times, men would hunt, but in the animal world the females hunt. Maybe this retains the man and female aspect of the Bible in the means that when at home man is with woman and because they used animals to hunt, he would then take his female animals, and when they would come home both returned to the opposite sex, or counterpart
4. The most sacred or one important shape is the diamond , and if you look at a woman’s body, the diamond is a head, breasts and vagina. Each provides life- head, expansion of thought, dreams, solutions, and means to praise; the breasts bring food to life, and the vagina the natural portal to life. On top of this, it falls in line with what is above is below. Could that be why we want diamonds as our best friends, and they are forever?
What do you all think, and or what do you think your identity as a woman means?
