The last thing that I was excited about was chasing my little around. I loved it because for the first time, in a long time, I connected to my essence, was having fun, and didn’t care about my age. The responsibilities of life drifted, and my smile and laughter were the cognizance that I lived in. Though those three to five minutes had me ready to sit down, and want to cuddle, it made me remember there is more to life.
As someone who still gets triggered by things of the past, remember even as an expert, loss of self™ does not just leave without work, without effort, without attempting, and without time. It is not something that no longer can host inside of you and it leaves, in a way, it becomes your identity. In healing from loss of self™ you are having to change your mentality, perception, and lifestyle in some cases to bring about the greatest change for your authenticity. In healing, that time is not dictated totally by you, but by your growth, and at times triggers are hidden deep within, so it takes longer.
As I ran and laughed, it leads me to ask what has brought a smile to your face recently and what has made you desire life and forget your age? If you have not felt this excitement in a while, then you need to look into what could bring that joy, even if you are not with your little, so I want to share some suggestions:
I am not sure what you are into, but you need to pursue excitement in your life on a regular basis. If you can include your family in that excitement, it will make that moment much more impactful! The love and connection that you can create from experiences helps you in loss of self™ because on those bad days, you can remember these good times.
