Mental Health the profession is wonderful in the sense it wants to help you, but Mental Health for a person is not as it leaves one feeling lost, stuck, broken, unloved, or without their light. In actuality, Mental Health can make someone feel that life is not worth it, the health of the mind is convoluted, and life seems a distant memory of happiness. I want to remind you that this is all NOT true.
Life is hard yes, but Mental Health helps you get your feelings out because what happens is it sits in you, taking up energy, festering on the good parts of you with negative memories, fearing pain from unhealed events, and multiplying its presence as you are stuck in cycles because there is no new way to add information- you aren’t talking to anyone. The thing is that this loss of self™ is a spiritual death, a limitation for the mind, emotion, and spirit, but does Mental Health cover the spiritual?
No, Mental Health only covers the Emotional, Intellectual, and Social Wellness of you. If you look at The 8 Levels of Love™, you will find Agape, a selfless love, a God-like love at the top. When you pair it with the Dimensions of Spiritual Wellness, you find Spiritual Wellness. When you pair it with Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, you find Self-Actualization. When you pair it with Maslow’s Motivational Model, you find Transcendence. This means that if you are only using Mental Health you may never heal. Mental Health has a gap that does not meet your core.
As I say so many times, your spirit is life, and your body is involuntarily working to sustain you. It is just that to experience life physically, your spirit has to have a body. This world shares emotion, which is spiritual, and pain, which is physical, so as you live, your job is to accomplish what impact has been asked of you. Some people change the world, some break generational cycles, some raise the next wonderful generation, and some share heart-based messages. I don’t know what yours is specifically, but I do know it has to do with connection and love.
As Mental Health has a gap, don’t let this stop you from using it, just take a bigger step to follow your Spiritual path. In understanding your Spiritual Journey that is life, you will be able to view others with more compassion, and look for a greater impact from your limitations or spiritual death. Your tears are not ugly, but beautiful because when we connect, it creates a vast ocean of connection. If you don’t know how to get started on your Spiritual Journey in a more meaningful way, this is your time! Use The 8 Levels of Love™ and discover where your spiritual pain is coming from, and reach out, I can recommend a book or give feedback, but you will never know what could be if you don’t start.
