“Hey everyone and welcome to the Bible Rave!
So it has been a little while since I made one.. uh..a lot of stuff has been going on, but today, I wanted to jump on.
Got my cool shirt on, CONFIDENCE + FAITH™. So, here we go. We are in John 12:13, and it talks about… because it is Palm Sunday… how Jesus rode through and they came with the palm leaves, and they were putting it in front of the donkey Jesus was riding on, and they are like, “Hosannah in the highest”.
I was kind of thinking like, palm trees. Why palm trees? You know, obviously in tropical-ish hot areas, palm trees are a key point, and exotic thing, and they put them on the ground in front of the donkey that was carrying Jesus. So, if you don’t know, there is a story in the Bible about a talking donkey, and so, for Jesus to be riding on a donkey, is just interesting because I think that it is one of the very few parallels to the donkey, besides when Jesus was born. So, I was kind of thinking, if these palm trees.. okay, so a lot of the Bible deals with rooting. The sun, Jesus- son…sun- and if you think about it, the sun brings life and light; “I am the light of the world”. Okay this is THM™, Theocentric-Holistic Metaphysics in action if you are not catching on!
So I was thinking, the ground is hot for this donkey who is carrying Jesus, but Jesus is this exotic thing. He just came and blew Moses out of the water. He is like I am coming in. I am taking over, forget all of these traditions, I am gonna be here for your sins, and as I was saying, the Bible roots you in a lot of things. It talks about growth and fruits of the Holy Spirit, and we are supposed to work the earth, work the ground like back in Genisis, that is what happened when they sinned, and got kicked out.
It’s just kind of like, Jesus is this exotic thing, and as this donkey proceeded to walk on this hot, hot ground holding Him, they give rest to the donkey’s feet with these leaves. They give cleanliness with these leaves. It is a transitional, underlying content. God is like represented a lot of times with fire. Our tribulations are represented with fire. God gives tribulation to make us change in love. Jesus is the portal. Jesus is the physical representation of love, which is God. Love is the thing that guides this whole world, and so, what you’ll see is that Jesus is riding on the back of humanity. Jesus is riding on creation, through the tribulations of the hot floor. The people see Him, and run to Him, and say “Hosannah in the highest”, and they throw these exotic leaves, as almost the representation of Jesus, once again, to cover the hot ground of tribulation, which He then covers over with His blood, and He covers over with His death.
Then what happens, is the donkey, now finds rest. His feet are a little bit cooler, and what does Jesus say? “Come to me all of you who are weary, and I will give you rest”. It is like this full circle right here, and obviously this is just the beginning of the end, and I mean it gets worse, but I thought it was really neat that there were so many layers to John 12:13 of just bringing Jesus in on this donkey, and the people throwing leaves, just saying Hosannah in the highest,
God, guys…God and guys, there is so much more than just the surface level of what you read. So I will talk to yall later- Bye!
