My two favorite sports are basketball and soccer!
Whoop whoop! I love them because they are interactive, you can engage with the team, and when the goals come or the defense is good, everyone is ramping up the excitement. The experience is just different, and the sounds of the stadium can reverberate within your entire being, leaving you breathless at the presence of such life.
In my alcoholism time frame I was doing soccer, and actually made my colleges first school goal (pretty proud), and later studying abroad, I went to a stadium soccer game where the aguardiente was flowing, beers on the side, and just life of an entire country resting on the green field of soccer. These are the moments you don’t forget because you can’t replicate them, but you will use your entire life looking for pieces of it again. If you are looking for it, go out in the middle of the field and run. Take a bike and hit some rocks. Stop forcing yourself to take the easy path and hit those hard places, you may find falling down just as fun as getting back up.
