Yesterday on the Bible Rave (watch here), I was discussing how people around is something that we are blessed with, but then don’t always feel connected to. It is like love and friendship do not allow for solutions, or time. Our friends, with their own burdens do not have time, nor the answers we are looking for to help our solution, but does that mean that we are alone? NO! If others don’t agree with us when they do have time for our problems, does this mean that they don’t truly understand, or want to? NO! It means that they have a different perspective, and at times this is okay. (I say at times because man you could cause a fire with the frustration built up inside-lol)
Recently, I have had something similar happen, where I feel a way wanting others to feel the same, but I am met with the disconnect of not understanding with the same PASSION as I have. It is that I want everyone I care about to be on the same page, but they aren’t. Every day I look for the solution of my problem to be carried out, but it doesn’t; is this you? You sit and pray, wait, cry, scream, lose your cool, get headaches, feel like you have nobody, speak the same cycles, and yet, nothing is done. Nothing is appearing to change, and then you question it all- is God listening? Why am I making this up? Am I making this up? What if I don’t like it as much as I believe right now?- and the list goes on.
When you feel alone like this, even if others truly don’t get it the way you do, count it as a blessing. See, when we are faced with hard times, it is because we are loved to the point that we have to change something. Whether it be patience, accepting the process, seeing how determined you are, awaiting the change of another so you can proceed on your journey, or whatever, it is a season of testing. As stated in the Bible Rave, I know people who are missing loved ones because they passed, but even as they have passed that love and friendship created a bond, a chord. This chord is special because that chord does not easily break, it can pick you up, and it can help move you forward. Love is something that is in everything because God is love. He chastiseth those whom He Loveth (Proverbs 3:12), and it is our motivation to not feel alone that we should find words of encouragement and truth that bind us by the throat and in the heart, so we can find grace and good teaching in the hardest of times (Proverbs3:3-4).
As a chord of friendship and love, even in the hardest of times you will be able to make it through without the approval, agreement, or even similar opinions to others, but you must trust in the Lord and not lean on the tribulation that you are facing, but His understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Recognize whole heartedly, that with these lines of encouragement and truth, that you can cleave to a future, one where your bones of despair will become healthy again, your body will be healthy again, your mind will be healthy again, and you will change and be blessed from that change.
