When you want to do better in life, you have to change, but for some reason people are resistant to change. They would rather stick in toxicity, with hope it gets better, than leave. On the other hand, they stay because it is comfortable, but it doesn’t light that fire in their life, or move their body to the life around them. The question I have to pose today is, “Then what does it take for people to change”?
I am very curious about this question because recently someone said they were truly struggling- they shared information with me, but when I asked where they wanted to start, they stopped. They stopped communicating with me. I mean at first they said they didn’t know, I even gave suggestions, but they stopped, and that got my mind going. In loss of self™, you do get stuck because you are too close to the chaos still. You have a desire for more, but you can’t figure out where to start because to you it all balls together. The truth is, there is one point that does stand out.
In honesty, with myself, I have had people tell me one thing, and I brushed it off, well to make the sentence shorter, that is the thing I needed to look at, and so can you. The other option is if you move the cloud of chaos to the side, what is behind it, and start there. The issue is not picking the perfect spot to start, but just one because they are all connected. I think though you should not just stop. This fear of not knowing, comes from never being asked what you want, so instead of running, take a moment and think.
Transforming your life or mindset can be a long or short-term project, depending on your desires, but the result can lead to happier days, less conflict, and minimum chaos- doesn’t that sound nice? In loss of self™ feeling that you just want more is a great feeling, knowing you deserve more is reinforcement, but what happens if you get no support and are just asked for the results- you become stagnant. Maybe this person felt I didn’t support them, and that is why they stopped talking and left the conversation, but in any transformation, you have to recognize when “you” have to put in the work.
I want you to know today, that though it may seem hard to work towards something that can hold the same pain, shame, and guilt you are feeling today, it doesn’t have to be scary. The thing that scares me though, is how long you may sit with this struggle without truly moving. Paralysis by analysis is real, but there is hope. I am here. You have someone who has been there, written books on it, and wants to see you thrive. You don’t always have to open up to others, but at times you have to move past the free investment, and actually invest. I hope that person finds what they are looking for, and I hope you do as well, but you have to know that with any transformation it takes “you” to make the steps, to cause the momentum, which makes the change.
If you would like help as a person or a business, I am ready to talk- it just takes a conversation (or an email).
